Then he said: "Mom? I bet you think I choosed you to be my mama because of how pretty you are? But actually, really I choosed you because of your loving heart."
What a great line! Part of me wanted to burst out laughing and tell my son to be sure to remember that line for when he's older!
But I felt the depth from where he was perceiving and expressing, so I kneeled down in the shower at his level, and gathered his sweet self in my arms, the glorious hot water pounding upon us, and said "Oh Ezra thank you for seeing me. Your loving heart sees my loving heart. So we get to meet there." He nodded, happily, in quiet, sober agreement. And he said, simply: "Heart to heart."
Oh my, how it changes everything when we choose to meet one another heart to heart.
